Introduction to Seduction
Learning seduction is a skill built over months, not a trick for winning one particular woman. This page covers how to approach the learning itself: focus on effort, put in real hours, be patient, sort out the rest of your life, and learn to analyse your own interactions.
Learn the skill, not the trick
Many beginners want one technique for one woman. That rarely works. You need general attractiveness and broad social skill first, the same way a batter has to handle any pitch before he can hit a specific one.
Focus on the process
Results are outside your control; effort is not. Set goals you can meet just by acting:
- Beginner: get out to a venue both weekend nights.
- Next: start a few conversations.
- Later: ask for five numbers (rather than "get five numbers"), go for the kiss (rather than "get a kiss").
A bad reaction from one person is information, not a verdict.
Put in proper sessions
Plateaus usually mean the practice is too thin. Plan sessions of around four hours, two or three times a week, ideally on back-to-back nights. The first conversation or two are just warm-up. Momentum builds after that, and you carry some of it into the next night.
Be patient
Expect about six months to become decent and up to two years to become good, much like learning an instrument or a language. Progress comes in bursts, plateaus and the odd setback, and everyone moves at a different pace. It's also meant to be fun along the way.
Sort out the rest of your life
Everything gets easier when the basics are in place:
- Work and money: have a job and some direction.
- Fitness: eat better, exercise, and drink 2–3 litres of water a day.
- Appearance: get a full-length mirror and buy clothes that fit.
- Home: keep it clean enough that you could bring someone back any night.
- Hobbies: ideally something hands-on or creative. Cut back on TV and gaming.
Nobody will fix a life you haven't fixed yourself. Aim to be a complete person looking for another complete person.
How to ask for advice
Three common mistakes:
- Unanswerable questions, like "Why didn't she text back?" Nobody can know.
- Losing sight of the process. Look at patterns across many interactions, not one bad night. If the same problem keeps coming up, ask about that.
- Too little detail. Write out what happened in full. Often the answer becomes obvious while you write, and learning to diagnose yourself is the real skill. Eventually you'll be able to see what's going wrong in the moment.
Excuses
No time, don't drink, don't like clubs, "too ugly": every excuse produces the same result. You don't need to drink, and clubs aren't the only place to meet people, but you do need to show up.
