How to Touch a Women
Why and how to bring touch into an interaction early, in bars, clubs and parties, so it feels natural rather than sudden.
Why touch matters
- Friendly touch releases oxytocin, the "bonding" hormone, which helps people feel closer and more comfortable. The original article overstated this as making a woman aroused "against her will". It doesn't work like that. Touch helps attraction that's already there; it doesn't create it from nothing or override anyone.
- Touch shifts you from "nice guy friend" to "potential partner". Conversation alone tends to keep things platonic, and endless talk with no physical connection often fizzles out.
- A hug can also reset tension and break a cold or defensive mood.
Touch early
Waiting 20 minutes and then suddenly touching her feels like a change of personality: as if you were being "nice" to earn permission. Light, friendly touch from the start makes it normal. It's just how you are with everyone, so it's no big deal to her.
Opening moves
Pick one and make it a habit:
- Ask about a piece of her jewellery and look at it closely.
- Shake hands and draw her in slightly.
- A friendly hug when you say something you like about her.
- A light arm around the shoulder as you introduce yourself.
- A high five, or a tap on the arm when you laugh.
The one-minute hug
The author's rule was to find a reason to hug within the first minute ("That's brilliant, come here!"). It sets a physical, playful tone, and afterwards even ordinary topics feel more charged, so you worry less about what to say. Later steps like a kiss feel like a natural next step rather than a leap.
Read her response
Touch only works if it's welcome. If she stiffens, pulls back or angles away, ease off. Comfort with touch is itself one of the best Indicators of Interest. Never continue touch someone isn't comfortable with.
