Ross Jeffries

From Alpha Up Wiki

Ross Jeffries (born Paul Ross, 1958) is an American author and seminar leader, often credited as one of the founders of the modern pick-up / seduction community.

Speed Seduction

Jeffries' system, Speed Seduction, borrows heavily from neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnotic language. Rather than lines or looks, it focuses on:

  • Patterns: scripted, vivid descriptions that guide her to imagine and feel things (connection, excitement, attraction) and link those feelings to you. Many of the pattern pages on this wiki are in this tradition.
  • Embedded commands and "weasel phrases": language that suggests feelings indirectly.
  • Eliciting values and trance words: asking questions that get her describing what she really wants, then reflecting it back. The same idea appears in Hypnotic Job Interviewing.

Public profile

Jeffries appeared on talk shows including Dr. Phil, The Montel Williams Show and The Daily Show, and was profiled in Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends. Director Paul Thomas Anderson has said Tom Cruise's seduction-guru character in Magnolia (1999) was inspired partly by him.
