Fundamental Premise

From Alpha Up Wiki

The Fundamental Premise is a core idea in Red Pill writing: biologically, a woman's reproductive capacity is scarce and a man's is plentiful, and much of how society treats men and women follows from that imbalance.

The idea

  • A woman can have relatively few children, while a man could in theory father many. A population can recover from losing many men far more easily than from losing many women.
  • As a result, people instinctively protect and sympathise with women more than with men. The argument is that this shows up everywhere: in who is cast as victim or wrongdoer, who gets advocacy, and whose problems get attention. One example given is that the vast majority of workplace deaths are men, with little public notice.
  • Laws and social norms can soften this but never remove it, because it comes from evolution rather than anyone's decision. Being angry at it is like being angry at the weather.

The conclusion drawn

Because nobody is going to hand a man sympathy or opportunity, a man has to build and take what he wants through his own effort, instead of waiting for fairness, empathy or rescue.
